Release Notes

This has two apps (in one zip file) plus there source code (via the Source Code Tab)

SerialApp is a C++ native code Windows Embedded Compact 2013 (OS Subproject), ARM (TI AM33X) build.
- Copy it to an exist running OS to run the test.
- Source code has full Windows Embedded Compact 2013 Subproject for other targets.
- Should run on a BeagleBoneBlack
-- An early version certainly did

SerialEcho is a C# Loopback app.
- This is a desktop app.
- Source code is a VS 2012 C# project
- Use it in the absence of a physical loopback adapter for SerialApp test.

Running the test:

  1. Setup the loopback, either hard or soft (Default BUAD is 115200 in the app)
  2. Run the WEC OS and get the Serialapp.exe to it (I have FTP in my OS)
  3. Start the app in a console (I run mine headless so I Telnet into it).

There are various command line options like COM port/s BAUD rate etc.
Examine the serailapp.cpp and serailapp.h for details.
See Documentation Tab fro details as well.

Please let me know how you get on,thx.
I have had failures after 4, 25, 30 40 minutes, 3 hrs, 23.5 hours etc with Compact 2013.
On Compact 7 it ran for 30 hours without failure.
